SA179 SA192 Aluminum Spiral Finned Tube

Aluminum Spiral Finned Tube

The perfect bond between fin and tube improves efficiency in heat transfer and resistance to corrosion resulting in a clean weld fin to tube joint and fully straight fins (no corrugation).

Integral Fins Tube Technical Data

Material & Manufacture

Modified surface tubes are manufactured from plain tubes conforming to ASTM Specifications: A179/A179M, A214/A214M, or A334/A334M. These are produced by cold forming, ensuring the surface and tube material are integral. Finished tubes are straight, smooth, and free from burrs or injurious defects.

Temper & Condition

  • Annealed: Both modified and unmodified portions conform to heat-treatment requirements.
  • As-Cold-Worked: Modified portions are in cold-worked condition; unmodified portions meet standard heat-treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What materials are available for the base tubes?

We offer base tubes in a variety of materials including Copper Alloy, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Copper-Nickel, and Titanium to suit different corrosive environments and heat transfer needs.

Q2: Which international standards do your finned tubes comply with?

Our products are manufactured according to global standards such as ASME SA179, SA192, SA210, and ASTM A179/A179M, A214/A214M, and A334/A334M.

Q3: What is the difference between Annealed and As-Cold-Worked conditions?

Annealed condition means both the modified (finned) and unmodified portions meet standard heat-treatment requirements. As-cold-worked means the finned area retains the properties produced by the cold-forming operation while the ends meet plain tube requirements.

Q4: Can you provide customized tube lengths and sizes?

Yes, we provide specifications ranging from 18mm to 273mm and offer CNC machining and cutting services to produce tubes exactly according to your technical drawings.

Q5: What types of fin configurations do you offer?

We offer several types including Extruded Fin Tubes, L-Foot (Wrap On), G-Fin (Embedded), High-Frequency Welded, and Monometallic Low Fin tubes.

Q6: How are the products packaged for international shipping?

Tubes can be shipped bare or in protective packaging such as Nylon, Canvas, or Wooden boxes, with mandatory markings on tags securely attached to each bundle.
